We are excited to announce the launch of our latest build, a one of a kind 79’ sportfish. This build is the manifestation of the owner’s lifelong dream. It presented a unique opportunity to show that we are not constrained with one style and design as craftsmen and a boatbuilding company. The contemporary styling is a departure from our normal lines, but we think you will agree that she is stunning. Working hand in hand with the owner and crew through the design process gave us the opportunity to reimagine the look of their current vessel, which was ahead of her time when built. She is modern and timeless. Being built around a schedule that travels extensively and fishes the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean in the same calendar year, she will be prepared for any fishing situation.
The Duffie 79' features a Santos Rosewood interior with a high gloss finish built by Belkov Yacht in Annapolis, MD. Upon entering the salon, you'll notice just how much this unique sportfish has to offer. To starboard, you’ll find a large white U-shaped sofa backing up to a spacious galley that features ample countertop space, including an attached island featuring two custom Release Marine bar stools. Within the galley, there are three slide-out Sub Zero refrigerators/freezers, a Fisher & Paykel convection cooktop and microwave, a Miele speed oven and ample storage throughout.
Along the port side of the salon, across from the galley, is a generous U-shaped dinette that provides room for the owner and entire crew to be seated comfortably. Situated next to the dinette is a custom designed lift-up liquor cabinet with a wet sink and storage below. As well as a love seat for additional seating. Above the dinette, you’ll see a large television designed with easy flip-up access to reveal a customized headset rack and charging station designed in house for the captain and crew.
The lower interior consists of 4 staterooms and 4 full heads, along with a full tackle room equipped with a complete custom tackle center including slide-out storage for rods, multiple display cases for reels of every class and additional storage space for tackle.

In the cockpit, you’ll find a Release Marine Trillion Unlimited fighting chair, custom embroidered mezzanine seating and a large fish box designed and fabricated with it's very own ice dump that also doubles as a live well. Under the mezzanine couch on one side are removable tackle drawers with ample dry storage and a large stainless freezer for bait to the other. In the mezzanine, you’ll find gaff tubes, tackle drawers and an insulated ice dump, along with three refrigerated boxes that allow bait and drinks to keep cold at all times.

On the bridge, a large center style helm accompanied by three Release Marine helm chairs. The helm features three 24-inch Garmin displays with a full suite of Garmin components and a Furuno omnidirectional sonar with a moveable control pod. Benches are situated on both the port and starboard side of the helm, with two addition seats forward and a large chaise lounge directly in front of the helm, allowing ample seating for the owner and their guests to ride in maximum comfort. Under this chaise lounge is a massive freezer for the captain to use at his disposal up on the bridge. All the way forward, to port, is a costumed designed sink and to starboard is an additional drink box.
A pair of 42-foot triple-spreader Rupp Tournament hydraulic outriggers are supported by a beautiful Bausch Towers hardtop and tower.

Heading down to the engine room, you immediately occupy a small machinery space featuring a Seakeeper 35, dual Eskimo ice makers, as well as various system controls. Upon walking through the first water tight engine room door, you are instantly met with two 30 kW Northern Lights generators and two massive 16V MTU 2635hp engines. Moving thru the engine room and thru the second water tight door is an enclosed pump room that is home to several of the boats mechanical systems. This includes a Furuno Omni Sonar, dual Dometic VARCX Chiller Systems, three Voda Marine Condensing Units, a Spot Zero Watermaker, an ElectroSea sea strainer, a Mueller heat exchanger box, and lastly a Dometic chiller control box.

The Reel Joy was officially splashed in May 2024 and will immediately begin fishing the East Coast tournament circuit this summer. They will then spend there winter months in Costa Rica fishing the Pacific Ocean.
